What a Wonderful Taste

Remember how in my last blog I mentioned that I was going to tell my mom to get some apples from the tree before they would get all old and nasty?? Well we did, and let me tell you..... It was very delicious!!

This was a very delicious apple that made my taste buds feel very happy. The first slice of apple that I ate was so sweet that it seemed like I was eating a handful of green skittles. It was almost as though my taste buds were having a party on my tongue. I'm surprised that this apple still had a good taste, because after hanging for so long I would have imagined it tasting sour and nasty. Two days after my last blog, I told my mom to come with me to get some apples from the tree. I'm glad we went and got the good apples left on the tree before the birds attacked them and left them all nasty, because if not then there would have not been any good looking apples.

The moment my mom cut the apple into slices, I saw that it contained a lot of juice in it and looked good. Since I saw that the apple tasted good after all, I told my mom why not make an apple salad for later. So she did and let me tell you, it was very delicious and healthy. I think next time I'm gonna help her make an apple pie. Some of the benefits of having an apple tree are that you can have as many apples as you want and can do almost anything with them. The benefit that I gained from having an apple tree is that I can eat apples in different ways: from salads to pies and even as a snack.

I have also discoverd that there are less apples hanging from the tree now, compared to a couple of weeks ago. I wonder when they will all fall down. But for now I'm enjoying the beautiful scenes that it offers me.

New Discoveries

So far in my project I have found new beauties that I have never seen before in my apple tree that gives me peace and offers me a moment to realize how beautiful nature really is.

A couple of weeks after my class and I have begun our project, I noticed little to no change at all in my apple tree. But as I began to observe closer and take note in everything that it has to show me, I discoverd how beautiful nature really is. In the top left picture, as you can see is my apple tree. It's the big picture of my project, that picture in real life is where all the magic happens. As you can see, in the top right picture, one thing that really amazed me was that out of all of the leafs on the tree, there was only one red leaf hanging from a broken branch. I discovered this heart-shaped red leaf on a peaceful evening after my boxing practice, it left me confused because it was the only red one out there.

In the bottom left picture, I commenced to notice how the apples began to fall down little by little to the ground. There was one, then two, following three, and on it went. The apples still hanging from the branches were really good, and so I told my mom that we should eat them before they were all on the ground and nasty, so we grabbed some and took them inside to wash them up and eat them.

In the bottom right picture, I captured a bird that seemed to be relaxing on one of the branches. It just came up to a branch, and started to poke at an apple with its beak. A couple of moments later, it flew away and dissapeared.

So far in this project I have tooken in value to take notice in nature and to reserve time to just relax and enjoy the beauties that life offers us.

A New Beginning

For my AP English class, we will be conducting an observation project of which I chose nature as my project: My Apple Tree

I chose to observe my apple tree in my backyard because I love how each year in a special time of the year, the apple tree grows delicious green apples that have a great taste and make a good/healthy snack.

The apple tree in my back yard has been there for quite a while now, and has been growing green apples since. The apples begin to grow around mid-August and last for about 1 month before they begin to turn ugly and taste not so good. I have always noticed how the tree begins out straight at the beginning of the year, but as the year progresses and apples begin to abound, the tree begins to bend diagonally as well as the branches start to break.

During these observations I hope to find out how the weather, animals, and insects affect the apple tree itself and the apples that grow upon it. Also, I would like to take note in how the apples taste as they grow older and older as the days go by.
